Ymer LEKSI
President

He is a PhD Candidate at the University of Tirana and at Hellenic American University of Athens. He teaches at "Aleksander Xhuvani" University Translation and Interpretation, Communication Studies, Language Diversity and Intercultural Communication and ESP. He has been member of ELTA since  its creation in 2002. In 2006 he was elected board member and in April 2014 he was elected President of the association. He is member of NTT, and has been trained by different institutions as University of Louisville, South Carolina, Bell, British Council, IH London, TESOL etc

Ogerta STROKA (KORUTI)
Vice-President, PR, Media and Publications Coordinator

She holds a Doctorate degree in English Grammar from The Faculty of the Foreign Languages in Tirana. She is a Phd student of Linguistics at the Helenic American University of Athens. She has been teaching at the Faculty of the Foreign Languages University of Tirana for 8 years, English for Specific Purposes, lecturing How to integrate new technologies in teaching and teaching seminars of Teaching skills to student-teachers of Master degree program. She has been trained by several international institutions such as Bell University (UK),British Council (UK),  University of Tennessee(USA),  ECLM (Graz, Austria), University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK) etc. She is the Vice President of ELTA and part of the National Team of Trainers (NTT) in Albania.

Fitore SULEJMANI
Training Coordinator for Middle and Southern Albania
 
Completed post-graduate studies in Psychology and Pedagogy and is presently the head teacher at the Foreign Language High School, Berat.  A member of the NTT, and a national trainer for the “Women’s Rights and Anti-Trafficking Education Program” and “Peace Building in Schools and Peer Education in Conflict Resolution Project.” Has completed trainings and workshops outside Albania, such as in Great Britain, USA, Norway, Italy, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, etc.

 

Luiz SEITI
Treasurer

Degrees in English Language and Finance & Accounting, he has also presented in workshops during ELTA Serbia and ELTA Macedonia conferences.
He has completed training from the British Council, Bell Institute UK and the US Embassy.  Luis is the ELTA Branch Leader for the Gjirokastra Region.

Fozilet SIMONI
Secretary

She has been a teacher of English for 25 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Teaching from the Faculty of Foreign Languages in Tirana.

She has been involved in in-service teacher training projects since she was trained by British Council in UK in 1995 and as part of the National Team of Trainers (NTT) in Albania.

She is also part of the group of Designers of the National Curriculum for Foreign Languages in Albania, English Language Portfolio for Albanian Students and projects concerned with the integration of new technologies in the teaching of English.

 

Vjollca BUZANI
PR, Media and Publications Helping Coordinator

Degree in teaching. Msc student of “Management and Administration in Education”. She  has  been teaching English for 15 years. She is  a teacher in and the director of “ Univers-D “ a Foreign Languages Center in Durres. She has participated in all Eltas Conferences and workshops in Tirana, Durres, Elbasan ,Berat.

Yllka KAPXHIU
Helping Secretary

Degree in Electronic Engineering- UPT, Master Degree in Electronics.

Studies at Foreign Language Faculty- UT(Tirana University). English and IT teacher at a Scondary school, and a part time lecturer at Faculty in Peshkopi. A member of ELTA board since April 2014.  Translator and an author of three books.

Altin BRUKA
National and International Conferences Coordinator and IT
 

Degree in English from the Faculty of the Foreign Languages, University of Shkodra.

He has completed studies in second study cycle (Master of Science) in the branch “Teacher in the Direction and Administration of Education” from the Private School of Higher Education” JUSTICIA”, Tirane.

 He is an English teacher at “At’ Shtjefen Gjeçovi” High School Lac, since 2006.

From 2007 He is  head of Foreign Languages Department at  “At Shtjefen Gjecovi” High School Lac.

Reilda DEDJA
Conferences Helping Coordinator

She has a degree in English language and Literature. She has an MA for Business and Communication and has been an active member of ELTA since she was graduated six years ago. She teaches at ‘Pjeter Budi’ high school in burrel. She has taken part in most of the conferences and training organized by ELTA and other training institution in Albania. She was part of the master teachers trained by IH (International House) London.

Enkelejda PRIFTI
Foreign Relations Coordinator

 

Enkelejda Mihallaq Grazhdani Prifti was born in1974 in Korce,studied English at ‘’Pandeli Sotiri’’ high school in Gjirokaster 1988-1992 and graduated as high school teacher from Tirana University 1992-1996. She began teaching English right after and still continues her professional development mainly with ELTA and British Council.

Working with students of different ages and levels, in small groups and big classes have been a great experience.Sometimes things are not as they seem to be ,but persistency and self-commitment, trainings and coteaching with Peace Corps volunteers have helped  a lot.

 

 

Anila ALIAJ (KARANXHA)
Training Coordinator for Northern Albania

Degree in English Language Teaching and awarded title Teacher and Specialist of English language in 2002. Anila teaches Varieties of English language and general English as part time lecturer at Tirana University –Kukes branch. She also holds the position of Institutional, organizational development and gender Advisor for CNVP- a Netherlands organization “Connecting Natural Values and People”. Anila is the regional correspondent for Albanian Helsinki Committee, member of National Network of women- “Equity in decision” making. Past experiences include three year work as English teacher in a private high school “IRSEN” in Kukes. Executive Director for CSDC-Civil Society Development Centre -an OSCE managed Programme-for 5 years. Anila has served as a key trainer for local organizations in Kukes region for more than 10 years now in a wide range of topics; she has very good training, facilitation and communication skills.
