As part of the 15th Anniversary International ELTA Conference “From the English classroom to real-life challenges and careers!”, April 28-30, 2017, we are organizing a poetry competition for the participants.

• This is open to conference participants only and limited to one entry per person.

• The winner will receive a prize worth 50 Euros and there will be 2 runner-up prizes worth 25 Euros.

Please note the following rules and conditions:

1. The poem must be original and written in English.

2. The theme is “opening minds”. Please feel free to interpret this as widely as possible.

3. Min.10/max.15 lines.

4. The poem does not have to rhyme.

5. The poem must contain ONE appropriate word or phrase in Albanian.

6. Please do not write your name on the poem; instead, collect a password from the registration desk and write this next to the title before you hand in your entry.

7. The deadline for submission is 2 pm 29 April 2017. Of course, you may write the poem before coming to the conference.

8. The prize winners will be announced at the end of the conference, and invited to read out their poems.

9. The poem may be typed or hand-written. 10. The decision of the judges is final.
