4th Regional Conference of Lezha
26 - 27 September 2014
During 26-27 September 2014 took place at Hotel "Antag" Shengjin, the 4th Regional Conference" titled "Teaching and LearningEnglish for Fun: Challenges and Solutions". Around 80 teachers of English from Lezha, Kurbin, Kukes, Shkodra, Lac, Tirana, Elbasan, Peqin, Berat, Kucove, Fier, Gjirokaster, Fushe Kruja, Vau i Dejes, Kavaja and of course Kosovo took part in yhis wonderful conference. We had presenters from Express Publishing George Kokolas, Academia of Lezha Richard Bowman, Justin Erb, Katrina Schmid and Justin Rittenhouse, British Council Daniela Nuredini, Peace corps Marty Feess and for the first time we had a group of 9 Albanian presenters who were trained as Teacher trainers by International House of London on a project won by ELTA Albania in the last IATEFL Conference in Harrogate
8th Regional Conference Berat
Berat 14 - 15 November 2014
This fantastic conference took take place in the wonderful town of Berat at Albanian University. It was a big hit on the number of participants. 167 teachers from all over the country and Kosovo were present during the two days of the conference. They had the possibility to listen presentations from presenters from Macmillan, Express Publishing, AEAFE and Albanian presenters.
TESOL TOT Training
July - August 2014
During the Period of July and August 2014 four teachers of English took part in an online TESOL Course Training of Trainers. They were trained On how to: conduct a needs assessment, build and sharpen a professional development plan, design a professional development module, identify key techniques, tools, and resources, deliver engaging workshops, evaluate pedagogical change, grow CPD capacity, create collaborative communities of practice, network with engaged and engaging teacher educators from all over the world. This training was offered by Peace Corps Albania as SPA won by ELTA Albania earlier this year.
IH London Training
2-6 September 2014
During the first week of September 20 English teachers from Albania took part in a teacher training organized by ELTA Albania and IH House Londond. This project was won by ELTA Albania among many other sister organizations who applied for that project on the last IATEFL Conference in Harrogate.
Regional ELT Associations Strategic Development Training
June 2014
During 6-10 June 2014, ELTA President took part on the 4th KETNET Conference in Kosovo and in the Strategic Development Training of the Regional ELT Associations organised and sponsosored by RELO Office Budapest. In this training took part Presidents from Regional Associations of Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, Rumania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary. U.S. State Department English Language Specialist Mary Lou McCloskey talked with them about leadership qualities, Strategic planning and planning strategically,

8th International ELTAM - IATEFL - TESOL Conference
October 31 - November 2, 2014
During October 31 until November 2, 2014 ELTA Albania President took part and presented at the 8th International ELTAM-IATEFL-TESOL Conference in Skopje, Macedonia. During his visit there together with ELTA President Elizabeta Hristoska he had a meeting with the minister of Education where they discussed about future cross border propjets ad teacher training. A partnership Agreement with ELTA Macedonia was signed and it was agreed to have similar agreements with Czech Republic and HUPE Croatia.
